Generated over £7 million in grant funding (revenue and capital), tenders and sustainable income streams in seven years. This includes Big Lottery, Sport England, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Premier League, Football Foundation, EFL, Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Wembley National Stadium Trust, Heart Research UK, Boots Charitable Trust, Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust, NHS Nottingham City, Macmillan, Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK, Biffa, People’s Projects, Heritage Lottery Fund, among others.
Initiated, designed, developed and secured funding for targeted physical activity projects. As well as creating expert partnerships, resulting in life-changing examples of national best practice among professional football clubs, including:
- Community-wide mental health work for females and males of all ages
- Cancer rehabilitation with Macmillan
- Integration work with refugees and asylum seekers
Successful asset transfers – wrote tender bid and business plan to take over the management and operation of Portland Centre in the Meadows (a disadvantaged area) from Nottingham City Council. The facility now includes sports halls, squash courts, gyms, classrooms, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, dance studio and creative suite.
Secured £1.2 million funding package to develop the facility’s infrastructure.
One of the core team awarded the national City of Football title by Sport England, generating £1.6 million of funding to increase football participation.
